Later on that night, Keith slipped away to go to King Alfor's tomb. He wondered what the late king wished to talk about and was really nervous standing outside the doors.

King Alfor decided to ask the most difficult question first.

Keith, are you marrying my daughter because she is pregnant with your twins?

Keith stared into the great man's face and replied, No, sir, I'm not.

Keith looked down at the rings, dazed by the offer.

King Alfor looked to see his wife, Queen Anne, appear next to him. She said, Please, you must take them, good captain. It will make us happy to know that Allura and her husband will carry on the tradition of the Royal House.

Then he looked down at his feet and glanced back up at them. He asked rather shyly, May I show you the engagement ring I have for Allura?

The King and Queen looked at eachother from the corners of their eyes, then nodded to Keith. He grinned like a school boy and pulled the black box out of his pocket. Queen Anne gasped at the one carat blue topaz ring sparkling before them. It was a perfect circle set on a simple gold band. It was beautiful.

I'm sure our daughter will wear it with pride, she said.

I hope you're right, Keith replied. I'm just afraid of what others will think. When I ask Allura to marry me, they may feel I'm only doing it because she is pregnant.

King Alfor said, As long as my wife and I know the truth, there is nothing to worry about.

But what about Nanny and Coran. They will try to find a way to stop the marriage.

Keith had a huge smile on his face. He was so relieved. Everything would be all right now. Let Coran and the Galaxy Alliance think that he donated his sperm so Allura could became pregnant. Before he went to his room, Keith decided to hide the rings in the safe in his study. He then proceeded towards his final destination, the arms of his beloved. As he approach, he ran into Nanny leaving the room.

He entered the room, and closed the door, leaving Nanny to think whatever she'd like.

Keith didn't realized how exhausted he was until he closed his door. He quickly undressed and put his short P. J.'s on. He crawled into bed next to the sleeping Princess. He kissed her on her forehead and lightly touched her stomach.

He fell asleep instantly.
